Hubby broke both sholders

Yep, you read correctly, my husband took a tumble the other day and broke not just one but both of his sholders. Both arms are immobilized and he basically has no use of his hands for anything other than eating and basic uh, well, self care. I guess it could be worse.
I'm just really glad that he didn't hit his head or break his neck but wow, the next 8 weeks are going to be rough for him. He's an active guy and is already going nuts just having to sit around.
He can't use his cane or dog, obviously so guiding him will be challenging.
Good thing I'm pretty much recovered from my surgery so I can do everything for him.
Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Oh my, the two of you are having a bad few months. I sure hope 2013 is a better year for both of you.

Damn, you can't catch a break. And I thought it was bad when I broke my collarbone! Ouch! Your poor husband for being in so much pain and going batshit crazy, and poor you for having to take so much on.

Ouch, I would think a broken collar bone would hurt like a mofo, not to mention how debilitating that would be.
Yep, we'll both be batshit crazy by the end of this, I'm sure of it. lol

Thanks so much.
He's healing nicely and we're enjoying lots of quality time together while he's off work.

Holy crap. I hope he'll be all right and 2013 will be a better year for both of you medically. Hugs. Gees, both shoulders. Wow ...

Yeah, both of them. Neat trick, huh? Actually when he fell, he hit his left sholder on a concrete floor, dislocating it and braking the bone that the humerous fits into. He also hit his right sholder on the corner of a marbel wall, breaking his humerous, the big bone in his right arm. As bad as this has been, it could be so much worse. At least he didn't hit his head or face or something.
Thanks for the well wishes.
